You really outdid yourself with this page. Probably my favorite since this chapter started. But you really have to lay off the cliffhangers. My heart can’t take the constant suspense.
See, here’s the thing: this version of Perils was never intended to be serialized page-by-page. These “cliffhangers” were never really meant as such.
However, I subscribe to the Old School comics writing tradition of ending every page on a dramatic “beat” (or, as many old pros call them, a “page turn”). While the intent is to create a little suspense, it’s only supposed to last as long as it takes the reader to turn the page.
When this adventure is eventually collected, it will hopefully be less nerve-wracking for you fine folks. 🙂
fantastic artwork. i love it. thanks for your passion. can’t wait for the next page =)
The Princesses expression in the second panel is beautiful. Well done all around!
Wow, Gene. What a great page.
Love the ruined city-scape

Minor question, are her fingernails actually that color or does she have some sort of permanent “paint” on her fingernails? [Crazy Grin]
Yes, a lost city! Let’s explore! Never mind ERB; lost cities trigger my REH response (Robert E. Howard). 😉
